The Mission of the Morris County Park System
The Morris County Park Commission is a conservation agency which serves as steward of thousands of acres of open space and facilities offering recreational opportunities to a diverse public. An emphasis is on developing cost-effective programs which augment those offered by other agencies in the public and private sectors. Under the direction of nine Commissioners and a professional staff the Morris County Park Commission continues to protect open space, preserve historic sites and promote active and passive recreation.
The Morris County Park System comprises more than 13,300 acres of land including twenty-eight various recreational and educational facilities for your enjoyment.
