Morristown Farmers Market 2020
Morristown Farmers Market 2020
Sundays, June 21 through November 22
Ever wondered where to find the best sweet peaches and corn, local whipped honey, artisan cheese, and glorious sunflowers all at once? What about organic produce, pickles-on-a-stick, farm fresh eggs and grass-fed beef? Look no further than historic downtown Morristown on Sundays.
The 30th Annual Morristown Farmers Market returns on Sunday, June 21st. The Morristown Partnership produces this event to serve area residents and visitors alike and is pleased to welcome back returning sponsor BASF in 2020. From 8:30am to 2:00pm each Sunday from June 21st through November 22nd, New Jersey farms and specialty vendors will be present to showcase their very best local-grown or raised products. All are welcome to come stock up on everything Jersey Fresh.
This year brings some challenges to be sure, but the Morristown Partnership will continue to work closely with the Town of Morristown and the Morristown Health Department in adapting its operations to provide a safe shopping experience for vendors, staff and visitors. It is recommended that all attendees, prior to coming to the Morristown Farmers Market each week, look for any changes to our operations by checking our website, Facebook or Instagram. You can also contact the Morristown Partnership via telephone at (973) 455-1133.
Morristown Partnership, which produces the Farmers Market in conjunction with returning sponsor BASF, invites everyone to slow the pace and enjoy Morristown on Sundays. Come and connect with our Farmers and Vendors who will be happy to recommend the very best way to enjoy or prepare their goods.
Dear Community Members,
We hope you, your friends and your families are safe and well. Morristown Farmers Market (FM), now in its 30th season, is adapting its operations to provide a safe shopping experience for all. FM holds the same “essential service” designation as grocery stores. As such, we are implementing new procedures to open as scheduled this season on Sunday, June 21.
Our hours of operation and location will remain the same: every Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the Morristown Parking Authority Lot at Spring and Morris Streets (behind the Morristown Post Office). High-risk individuals, as defined by the CDC, will be permitted to enter 8:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. Customers will be able to shop with our vendors as long as we all adhere to necessary health and safety protocols. We are in close communication with the Morristown Health Department and utilizing an operations plan with recommended protocols to ensure that the FM is meeting all standards set by our public health officials.
YOU CAN HELP!
In addition to the standards we have all been following, like hand washing, we have specific requests in place until otherwise directed by our FM management team. Until further notice:
We take our responsibility to provide a safe and healthy shopping experience for our guests and vendors very seriously. We are adjusting our operations plan as required by state and local authorities. We ask that you check our social media or website every week before coming to the FM to remain up to date on any changes to our operations. We look forward to the day when we can once again gather and enjoy live music and special programs. Until then, we appreciate your continued support of local farms and food.
We look forward to welcoming you back to downtown Morristown!

Our family likes to share. It always has. When our founder, Jim LaPrete, shared his homemade original recipes with people, they asked him to start baking professionally. His idea was to get the freshest product into his customers’ hands as soon as possible. That meant baking all night and bringing his fresh bread and pastries directly to the market–directly to the people.
When Jim started, 40 years ago, he and a few others with the same idea helped to establish some of the first New York City Greenmarkets and New Jersey Farmers’ markets.
Our family has grown over the years. His daughter, Kim, has been keeping her dad’s spirit alive for 30 years now, and the third generation is hard at work right next to Mom and Dad. We are very happy to say that most of our staff has been with us for over ten years, and some have been with us since the beginning. We are very fortunate to have some of the best and most hardworking people at Baker’s Bounty.
Easier methods are available and widely used, but we choose to do things Jim’s way. When your friends are all farmers, it makes the most sense to use their trusted product to produce the best baked goods. If we used canned or pre-processed ingredients, we just simply would not be us, and we like being us. Thank you for letting us share our family’s traditions with yours.

We took possession of the farm in 1997. From the outset it was our goal to raise grass fed livestock. In cooperation with federal, state and county agricultural advisors, we converted a farm that had been neglected for years into a viable farm sustaining hormone free, grass fed beef, sheep and free roaming pigs.
Because what an animal eats and how it lives effect the way the meat will taste, we provide the most natural environment for our animals. Our cattle and sheep are only grass fed. They are not fed grain. All of our animals have access to the outdoors throughout the year. Shelter and shade are provided in our barns and open sheds.
In the summer, our pigs wallow in mud baths. In the winter, they snuggle together in a large lean-too. Even though they have a natural diet of grass, roots, dirt, bugs and assorted nuts that fall from trees; they need grain to get fat. Our pig feed is supplied from a local farm.
Our animals do not receive hormones or antibiotics. Animals are rotated to different paddocks regularly.
Glenmalure Farm is a natural, traditional and environmentally appropriate environment for animals with the goal of providing the best quality meat products to our customers.

To explain the story of Green Point Juicery, I would first have to explain how I personally got into juicing. Back in 2011, I was working insanely long hours at a popular Italian restaurant in NYC. I would come home exhausted, malnourished, cranky, body aching and would have no energy to put together a healthy dinner. I opened my lonely fridge one night and aside from some left over pasta, there was a green apple, half a lemon, a couple carrots and a stalk of celery. I thought, “What is the easiest and fastest way to get these nutrients into my tired body?” And there it was, lounging in the corner of my kitchen, my very first juicer. It had a stainless steel exterior, a giant pulp container and 2 speed controls. The answer to all my prayers. So I quickly washed my produce, cut them up and began to juice at 10:00pm. By 10:15, I was full, refreshed, happy and smiling through my green juice mustache.
I started reading everything I could about juicing. The machines, the recipes, the history, the science – why cold pressed is best and organic produce is superior. It became my life’s purpose.
Fast forward 8 years later, and I have been lucky enough to serve New Jersey with the freshest, highest quality, organic, cold-pressed juice. Our team is committed to our standards and working hard to keep our full-fledged promise to sustainability. All of our packaging is either compostable or recyclable. We believe that taking care of your health goes hand in hand with taking care of our beautiful planet.
So we welcome you to Green Point Juicery. With our colorful and delicious variety of Cold- Pressed Juices, Vegan Food and Desserts, Superfood Smoothies, Dairy-Free Nut Milks and lush Organic Coffee, we are dedicated to improving the lives of all our customers. Thank you for choosing us as your favorite Juicery and remember to “Drink Juice and Go Green.”

In 1975, George Rude began raising a handful of quail on two acres of a farm located in the historic village of Griggstown in Princeton, N.J. At that time the property was owned by Peter Josten. By the time George Rude purchased the land from Josten in 1992, the Griggstown Quail Farm had grown to over 65 acres raising pheasants, quail, chickens and, when in season, Mallard and Muscovy ducks, turkeys, and partridge. All the birds were all natural (free of growth hormones and antibiotics) and cage free without overcrowding, a standard George Rude keeps to this day.
The farm is proud to raise all natural free range heritage breed turkeys, which are the closest breed to the turkeys that the Pilgrims ate. We also raise free range traditional white turkeys and free range pheasants, which are available in the store from October until March. We sell most of the turkeys during Thanksgiving; make sure to place your order early since we sell out each year!
The farm houses a USDA processing plant which processes poultry five days a week. Deliveries to distributors and restaurants are made everyday. The farm sits just off Bunkerhill Road in Griggstown and passers by often see horses peacefully grazing in the fields of the Griggstown Farm.
