Morristown Festival of Books is where readers & authors meet! Our annual book festival brings so much excitement to downtown Morristown. We have been thrilled to welcome acclaimed authors and attendees from all over the country to enjoy in-person talks, Q&A sessions, and book signings.

MFOB: A literary event for all
Created by and for people who love books, MFOB has become a destination event for authors and readers. Since its inception, the fest has established itself among the top book festivals nationwide, drawing thousands of annual attendees to enjoy:
- In-person or live virtual talks by world-class authors
- A diverse roster that has grown to more than 300 authors over the festival’s tenure
- Proudly boasting multiple Pulitzer Prize and National Book Award winners, Newbury and Caldecott medalists, and New York Times bestselling fiction and non-fiction luminaries along with emerging voices across all genres
- Unique engagement opportunities between readers and writers
- Special events for children, teens, and YA fans of all ages
On Friday evening, there is a ticketed Keynote Event. Attendees will enjoy a presentation by a Keynote Speaker, followed by a short Q&A session.
On Saturday, the main Festival takes place from around 10am – 5pm. Authors will speak and hold Q&A sessions in our festival venues (see listing above). These author talks are free, no tickets required.
Following their talks, each author will proceed to the Vail Mansion lawn to sign books under the Book Tent. Books will be for sale throughout the day at the Book Tent on the lawn.
