The Town of Morristown will follow the Governor’s Executive Order regarding closing time for food and beverage establishments and does not intend to impose any new local restrictions on the hours of operation. However, they will continue to monitor compliance and if the Town notices violations by establishments of the Executive Order, they reserve the right to revisit whether local restrictions are necessary.

Beginning Friday, February 5th at 8 a.m., indoor capacity limits will increase to 35% of stated capacity for food and beverage establishments, personal care businesses, and recreational and entertainment businesses, including gyms, fitness centers, and casinos. Certain indoor gatherings, including religious services and wedding ceremonies, will be limited to 35% of the room’s capacity up to 150 people. Starting Friday, February 5th, the State requirement to end service in bars and restaurants at 10 p.m. will be lifted. However, municipalities or counties may continue to regulate hours of operation after 8 p.m., giving local officials the ability to respond to unique situations where they notice non-compliance.
