Baked Goods
Baked Goods
Our family likes to share. It always has. When our founder, Jim LaPrete, shared his homemade original recipes with people, they asked him to start baking professionally. His idea was to get the freshest product into his customers’ hands as soon as possible. That meant baking all night and bringing his fresh bread and pastries directly to the market–directly to the people.
When Jim started, 40 years ago, he and a few others with the same idea helped to establish some of the first New York City Greenmarkets and New Jersey Farmers’ markets.
Our family has grown over the years. His daughter, Kim, has been keeping her dad’s spirit alive for 30 years now, and the third generation is hard at work right next to Mom and Dad. We are very happy to say that most of our staff has been with us for over ten years, and some have been with us since the beginning. We are very fortunate to have some of the best and most hardworking people at Baker’s Bounty.
Easier methods are available and widely used, but we choose to do things Jim’s way. When your friends are all farmers, it makes the most sense to use their trusted product to produce the best baked goods. If we used canned or pre-processed ingredients, we just simply would not be us, and we like being us. Thank you for letting us share our family’s traditions with yours.

Beef, Pork, Lamb, Goat
We took possession of the farm in 1997. From the outset it was our goal to raise grass fed livestock. In cooperation with federal, state and county agricultural advisors, we converted a farm that had been neglected for years into a viable farm sustaining hormone free, grass fed beef, sheep and free roaming pigs.
Because what an animal eats and how it lives effect the way the meat will taste, we provide the most natural environment for our animals. Our cattle and sheep are only grass fed. They are not fed grain. All of our animals have access to the outdoors throughout the year. Shelter and shade are provided in our barns and open sheds.
In the summer, our pigs wallow in mud baths. In the winter, they snuggle together in a large lean-too. Even though they have a natural diet of grass, roots, dirt, bugs and assorted nuts that fall from trees; they need grain to get fat. Our pig feed is supplied from a local farm.
Our animals do not receive hormones or antibiotics. Animals are rotated to different paddocks regularly.
Glenmalure Farm is a natural, traditional and environmentally appropriate environment for animals with the goal of providing the best quality meat products to our customers.

Gourmet Mushrooms
Gourmet Mushrooms
Beginning on the trails of Northwest New Jersey, Fat Caps Gourmet Mushrooms was born out of a love for food and science. We began foraging in 2014, and soon found that we had a passion for mushrooms. We enjoyed researching the varieties we discovered and learning about the nutritional value & health benefits of various mushrooms – not to mention that they taste amazing! Each mushroom variety has a different flavor profile, and our recipes show just a taste of the possibilities. In fact, we’ve been impressed with the creativity that our customers have shown in their culinary skills and the many ways our mushrooms can be enjoyed.
In 2018, we decided to bring our interest in mushrooms indoors. We built a dedicated grow room and started raising a small variety of specialty mushrooms. Since then, we’ve expanded our offerings and are hoping to eventually create our own strains. We love that our hobby has grown into a full-fledged business. Serving restaurants and farmers’ markets, we’re here to bring gourmet mushrooms to everyone from chefs to families. We hope that you can learn about mushrooms as we have and expand your horizons to include a healthy and versatile option to your dinner plate.
Cheese
Cheese
Our small-batch facility sits on Hillcrest Orchard & Dairy in Branchville, NJ. We don’t like to brag.. but it’s pretty cool to watch the Jersey cows in the pastures out our windows while we are stretching the mozzarella curds made from their milk. The Jersey cows provide us with a great quality milk perfect for making fresh Mozzarella, Ricotta and plenty of other fresh & aged cheeses.
We have brought together the traditions of Italian cheese making and use of local, farm-fresh Jersey cow milk to produce artisan cheeses right in New Jersey.
We are creating an experience you would only imagine if you were in Southern Italy. From our farm to your home, fresh & aged Italian style cheese that you can truly say is local.

Welcome to Neshanic Station Apiaries, where the bees are beautiful and the beekeepers are smitten. We are a small, family-owned business that provides 100% pure raw local honey from hives located in Somerset and Hunterdon counties in Central New Jersey. Our wildflower honey is never heated to protect its tremendous antibacterial and anti fungal benefits. It is packed with enzymes, minerals and pollen. We harvest our runny honey by hand in July and by December, before the natural crystallization process occurs, we intentionally crystallize it ourselves. Our silky, spreadable raw creamed honey is a treat. We also offer handmade hot process soaps, pure beeswax candles, lip and skin balms, sustainable beeswax wraps and beehive-inspired household products, all made by us with our honey and/or our beeswax. Please join us on our journey on Instagram and Facebook. You’ll be smitten, too!
Soups
Soups
At The Oldwick Soup Company, we have created artisanal soups made with fresh, healthy and locally sourced ingredients. At The Oldwick Soup Company, we work with terrific local farms where we source our fresh seasonal ingredients, and local bakeries. Every purchase of product goes toward supporting our mission of giving back, and we will work with you should you have a group of purchasers for fund raisers, & charities who we can send our products to.
Our Background: Food has always been a part of our lives. After attending the Culinary Institute of America, our path led us to catering, but it was after some time that our true destiny was yet to come. We married our culinary and marketing backgrounds to create a strategic food marketing agency that worked in the foodservice industry creating new marketing, business building and sales opportunities for multi-national manufacturers and chain restaurants. After over 20 years, we focused our business on helping the “little guy” open new food growth opportunities. It was after these successes that we decided to do for ourselves what we were doing for everyone else, and create a business that we had thought about for many years…the creation of a soup company!
When Mary Ann and I were growing up (separately), we always knew that a warm bowl of soup was something that would soothe and comfort us whether we were hungry, sick, cold or just wanted something to eat that would make us happy. As I got older and was living on my own, I could make a pot of soup after work and I felt all was right in the world. It comforted me after a long day, and still does. When our children were young, we would make soup for them and knew that it was our time to sit around the kitchen table and talk about anything that was going on in their lives (it still happens!) Soup has always been our “go to” comfort food that brings us all together.
Today we present to you our company, The Oldwick Soup Company and our brand, “Love The Soup!” We hope you enjoy eating it as much as we love making it, and know that with each “slurp,” you are also part of giving back.

Jeff O’Hara founded Union Hill Farms in 1986.
Union Hill Farms opens just in time for Easter each year. We sell flowers and vegetable plants in the spring and provide the community with fresh produce in the summer. In the fall, we operate a free hayride to our pick-your-own pumpkin patch on weekends and fill the roadstand with homegrown apples, broccoli, cauliflower, potatoes, winter squash and much more. Union Hill Farms also features a variety of homemade jellies, jams and preserves.
While the supermarkets truck their produce in from all over the country, Union Hill Farms offers vegetables that have been harvested right in Denville.

Having lost a lot of weight myself, I knew for years that I wanted to help others get started on their journey to better health. I am a PNL1 Nutrition Coach (@precisionnutrition), and am excited to provide a partnership with those who want to do so… But WAIT!
Years ago I started growing my own food and I fell in love. The satisfaction of eating nutritious and fresh food grown by my own two hands was indescribable. I wanted to share it all with family, friends and MORE! So, I kept thinking could I really do both? OF COURSE… Why not share nutrition knowledge, give support and accountability meanwhile providing organic and local greens as well. We can all agree that a healthy outside starts from the inside.
