    Baker's Bounty

    What They Sell

    Baked Goods

    About

Our family likes to share. It always has. When our founder, Jim LaPrete, shared his homemade original recipes with people, they asked him to start baking professionally. His idea was to get the freshest product into his customers’ hands as soon as possible. That meant baking all night and bringing his fresh bread and pastries directly to the market–directly to the people.

When Jim started, 40 years ago, he and a few others with the same idea helped to establish some of the first New York City Greenmarkets and New Jersey Farmers’ markets.

Our family has grown over the years. His daughter, Kim, has been keeping her dad’s spirit alive for 30 years now, and the third generation is hard at work right next to Mom and Dad. We are very happy to say that most of our staff has been with us for over ten years, and some have been with us since the beginning. We are very fortunate to have some of the best and most hardworking people at Baker’s Bounty.

Easier methods are available and widely used, but we choose to do things Jim’s way. When your friends are all farmers, it makes the most sense to use their trusted product to produce the best baked goods. If we used canned or pre-processed ingredients, we just simply would not be us, and we like being us. Thank you for letting us share our family’s traditions with yours.

    Fat Caps Mushrooms

    What They Sell

    Gourmet Mushrooms

    About

Beginning on the trails of Northwest New Jersey, Fat Caps Gourmet Mushrooms was born out of a love for food and science. We began foraging in 2014, and soon found that we had a passion for mushrooms. We enjoyed researching the varieties we discovered and learning about the nutritional value & health benefits of various mushrooms – not to mention that they taste amazing! Each mushroom variety has a different flavor profile, and our recipes show just a taste of the possibilities. In fact, we’ve been impressed with the creativity that our customers have shown in their culinary skills and the many ways our mushrooms can be enjoyed.

In 2018, we decided to bring our interest in mushrooms indoors. We built a dedicated grow room and started raising a small variety of specialty mushrooms. Since then, we’ve expanded our offerings and are hoping to eventually create our own strains. We love that our hobby has grown into a full-fledged business. Serving restaurants and farmers’ markets, we’re here to bring gourmet mushrooms to everyone from chefs to families. We hope that you can learn about mushrooms as we have and expand your horizons to include a healthy and versatile option to your dinner plate.

    Glenmalure Farm

    What They Sell

Beef, Pork, Lamb & Goat Products

    About

We took possession of the farm in 1997. From the outset it was our goal to raise grass fed livestock. In cooperation with federal, state and county agricultural advisors, we converted a farm that had been neglected for years into a viable farm sustaining hormone free, grass fed beef, sheep and free roaming pigs.

Because what an animal eats and how it lives effect the way the meat will taste, we provide the most natural environment for our animals. Our cattle and sheep are only grass fed. They are not fed grain. All of our animals have access to the outdoors throughout the year. Shelter and shade are provided in our barns and open sheds.

In the summer, our pigs wallow in mud baths. In the winter, they snuggle together in a large lean-too. Even though they have a natural diet of grass, roots, dirt, bugs and assorted nuts that fall from trees; they need grain to get fat. Our pig feed is supplied from a local farm.

Our animals do not receive hormones or antibiotics. Animals are rotated to different paddocks regularly.

Glenmalure Farm is a natural, traditional and environmentally appropriate environment for animals with the goal of providing the best quality meat products to our customers.

    Oldwick Soup Company

    What They Sell

    Soups

    About

At The Oldwick Soup Company, we have created artisanal soups made with fresh, healthy and locally sourced ingredients. At The Oldwick Soup Company, we work with terrific local farms where we source our fresh seasonal ingredients, and local bakeries. Every purchase of product goes toward supporting our mission of giving back, and we will work with you should you have a group of purchasers for fund raisers, & charities who we can send our products to.

Our Background: Food has always been a part of our lives. After attending the Culinary Institute of America, our path led us to catering, but it was after some time that our true destiny was yet to come. We married our culinary and marketing backgrounds to create a strategic food marketing agency that worked in the foodservice industry creating new marketing, business building and sales opportunities for multi-national manufacturers and chain restaurants. After over 20 years, we focused our business on helping the “little guy” open new food growth opportunities. It was after these successes that we decided to do for ourselves what we were doing for everyone else, and create a business that we had thought about for many years…the creation of a soup company!

When Mary Ann and I were growing up (separately), we always knew that a warm bowl of soup was something that would soothe and comfort us whether we were hungry, sick, cold or just wanted something to eat that would make us happy. As I got older and was living on my own, I could make a pot of soup after work and I felt all was right in the world. It comforted me after a long day, and still does. When our children were young, we would make soup for them and knew that it was our time to sit around the kitchen table and talk about anything that was going on in their lives (it still happens!) Soup has always been our “go to” comfort food that brings us all together.

Today we present to you our company, The Oldwick Soup Company and our brand, “Love The Soup!” We hope you enjoy eating it as much as we love making it, and know that with each “slurp,” you are also part of giving back.

    Fairview Farm & Flowers

    What They Sell

    Locally & Seasonally Grown Flowers

    About

After graduate school, I moved back to my hometown and started a non-profit called Grow It Green Morristown. We run New Jersey’s largest public school farm and a community garden. I started it because I wanted to be outside with the children, in the soil, finding worms, planting seeds and all that… Somehow I ended up in the office running the day-to-day. Not the ideal setting for a woman who wanted to farm. And then… we bought the house next door to my parents. A crazy, big old house from the 1800’s. It was falling apart. The Department of Environmental Protection actually wouldn’t let us close on the house until we installed a sewer line… because it still had the original “waste disposal” system from the turn of the century… the last century. Every bathroom leaked, all the wiring needed to be replaced.

But it **shared the driveway with my parents** (clearly, I like them a lot).

And so we bought it – and the three acres of land surrounding the house. This might not seem like a huge swath of land to my family in Kansas, but here in the most densely populated state in the Nation, having the ability to create a farm of even this size feels like a dream. And like all farmers, we feel that we are stewards of this land, no matter its size. Yet, this land comes with a historic home too, and so the responsibility to preserve this three acre island in time has been quite an undertaking. So come along on the adventure! Fairview Farm and Flowers lives at the intersection of historic preservation, modern floral artistry, and a new urban aesthetic. It’s a wild and fun place! You won’t be disappointed! Daily life is dirty but the flowers sure are pretty!

    UPDATE TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS

    Dear Community Members,

We hope you, your friends and your families are safe and well. Morristown Farmers Market (FM), now in its 32nd season, is adapting its operations to provide a safe shopping experience for all. Our hours of operation and location will be as follows: every Sunday from 8:30am to 1:00pm in the Morristown Parking Authority Lot 10J at Spring and Morris Streets (behind the Morristown Post Office).

    YOU CAN HELP!
In addition to the standards we have all been following, like hand washing, we have specific requests in place until otherwise directed by our FM management team. Until further notice:

    • Be mindful of distance if a customer is already at a vendor booth.
    • Be patient as the organizers and vendors adapt to new and changing protocols.
    • Any changes to procedures will be posted on Morristown Partnership’s social media and website pages:
      • Website: www.morristown-nj.org
      • Facebook: @MorristownPartnership & @morristownfarmersmarket
      • Instagram: @downtownmorristown

We take our responsibility to provide a safe and healthy shopping experience for our guests and vendors very seriously. We are adjusting our operations plan as required by state and local authorities. We ask that you check our social media or website every week before coming to the FM to remain up to date on any changes to our operations. We appreciate your continued support of local farms and food.

We look forward to welcoming you back to downtown Morristown!

    THE PEDIATRIC ORTHOPEDIC CENTER

The Pediatric Orthopedic Center has been taking care of the orthopedic needs of children in the Morristown area for over 25 years. The practice is one of the largest single, private orthopedic subspecialty practices in the country and has continuously been recognized as a top practice year after year. The doctors provide comprehensive pediatric musculoskeletal care for children and adolescents of all ages. The physicians specialize in a wide range of surgical treatment options for ACL reconstruction in the growing patient, are certified in the Ponseti serial casting technique for children with club feet, and provide treatment of fractures and soft tissue injuries, among other musculoskeletal conditions. The practice boasts ten highly trained clinicians which include two of the only pediatric-trained podiatrists in the country. They are the only private orthopedic group in the state that offers the EOS imaging system for scoliosis and deformity, which provides full-body detailed radiographs at a fraction of the radiation exposure. EOS is one of the many components that helps to support the practice’s Scoliosis Center of Excellence. The Pediatric Orthopedic Center has modernized and doubled the size of its main office in Cedar Knolls and, in addition to satellite offices in Springfield, Wayne and Jersey City, this allows them to provide coverage to a large section of northern New Jersey.
