Meet the Board

Nestor Bedoya, Chef Fredy’s Table

Nestor Bedoya is a very passionate and driven restaurateur with over 20 years of experience in this industry. Born and raised in Colombia, Nestor came to the United Stated in 1996 to live with his family in Morristown, NJ.

Bedoya began his career as a busser in 1998 at a local restaurant in Morristown. Seeing everyone’s enjoyment and hard work made him fall in love and inspired his passion for pursuing a career in the industry. He worked every position from back of the house to restaurant manager and finally fulfilling his dream of owning his own restaurant.

His favorite thing about working in the restaurant business is seeing how genuine people can be when sharing a meal at his table. Additionally, Nestor’s advice for those interested in pursuing a career in the restaurant and hospitality industry is to master the fundamentals, strive to be an expert in every job you do, take full accountability and to learn the most you can.

Nestor joined the Board of the Morristown Partnership in 2018. He has seen the positive impact the partnership has in the business community and is proud of the organization always advocating for all businesses to thrive in Morristown.

Nestor is married to his beautiful wife Judy and has three children, Sofia, Mia and Nico. When he is not at the restaurant working, he enjoys working out and spending time with his family at home and always trying new restaurants.

Bill Braunschweiger, Braunschweiger Jewelers, Emeritus

Born in Newark NJ and residing in Irvington and then New Providence, Bill Braunschweiger has lived in Bernardsville since 1974 with his wife Kim. He has worked in the family business, Braunschweiger Jewelers, his entire life. The Braunschweiger ancestors were watch and clockmakers in the Black Forest region of Germany and came to the USA in the 1920s, between the World Wars and during economic hardship in Germany. They opened their own repair shop in Newark and ultimately began selling watches and jewelry. The move to Morristown came in the 1950s, and they have been in their current location at 33 South Street since approximately 1980. They bought the building in the 2000s.

As a long-time business and property owner in Morristown, Bill offers a unique perspective of having witnessed the evolution of Morristown from a quiet suburb to the thriving downtown it has become. He joined the Board of the Morristown Partnership in _____, serving first as Vice Chairman and then Chairman from 2018 to 2024. As a part of the third-generation member of his family to run Braunschweiger Jewelers in Morristown, Bill is committed to being an active participant in creating and maintaining a successful downtown. He believes in paying it forward and strives year after year to give back to the Morristown community and have a meaningful impact via the Morristown Partnership.
